Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to:

• Establish, monitor, and enforce safety protocols, risk assessments, sanitation, sterilization, and infection control procedures across the salon/treatment environment in accordance with statutory health and safety legislation.

• Explain the structure, function, and pathologies of major human body systems—including skeletal, muscular, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, and endocrine systems—and evaluate how massage treatments directly impact physical and biological processes.

• Execute structured pre-treatment health consultations, evaluate client posture and tissue health, accurately identify contra-indications requiring medical referral, and determine appropriate massage treatment plans.

• Apply classical Swedish massage movements (effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration) with proper stance, posture, mechanical leverage, rhythm, and pressure adapted to client treatment objectives.

• Ensure client privacy and comfort through professional draping techniques, manage treatment timing efficiently, recognize contra-actions during or following treatment, and deliver tailored post-massage lifestyle and aftercare guidance.
