Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will be able to:

• Comply with beauty salon health, safety, and hygiene legislation by implementing rigorous sanitation, sterilization, and infection control standards, alongside risk assessments and safe handling of hazardous substances.

• Execute structured pre-treatment consultations to assess client expectations, identify contra-indications, resolve complaints professionally, and deliver comprehensive post-treatment aftercare advice using clear verbal and non-verbal communication.

• Manage front-of-house operations by operating appointment scheduling systems, processing financial transactions accurately, and promoting salon products and packages using professional selling skills.

• Perform diagnostic skin analysis (identifying skin types and conditions) to design and execute tailored manual facials—including deep cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, mask applications, and personalized home skincare recommendations.

• Perform patch testing, safe eyelash/eyebrow tinting, and precise eyebrow shaping using hygienic protocols around the eye area.

• Assess skin sensitivity and hair growth patterns to safely apply and remove hot and warm wax across face and body areas, incorporating necessary pre- and post-waxing care.

• Recognize skin and nail contra-indications to perform complete hand and foot care, including shaping, cuticle work, exfoliation, massage, and precision polish application.

• Select and apply cosmetics (foundation, concealer, contour) matching skin tones/undertones to design day, evening, and special occasion looks while maintaining strict tool sanitation and cross-contamination controls.
